Behind the Lens: A personal view beyond the frame

For over three decades, I’ve been immersed in the live events industry—designing and delivering experiences that bring people together in meaningful, lasting ways. From strategic campaign planning to managing intricate logistics, my work has spanned multiple sectors, always with a focus on creating high-impact moments that resonate. Yet beyond the structure and precision of event management, I’ve always been drawn to something more elemental: storytelling. Whether through a carefully orchestrated engagement or the quiet click of a camera shutter, I’ve sought to capture the essence of a moment.

This instinct has evolved into a deep passion for Natural Photography—a creative pursuit that blends my love of visual storytelling with the changing rhythms of the British countryside. Inspired by the shifting seasons and the quiet poetry they evoke, I aim to translate fleeting moments into timeless images. Each photograph is a reflection of place, light, and emotion—an attempt to honour the subtle beauty that surrounds us. With the encouragement of family, friends, and the loyal companionship of Ruby the spaniel, I’m building a creative venture rooted in depth, detail, and connection.

Living in rural Northamptonshire, near Silverstone, I’m surrounded by landscapes that continually inspire: misty fields at dawn, hedgerows heavy with autumn colour, and the soft hush of snowfall in winter. These scenes offer more than visual interest—they invite reflection, grounding, and a sense of belonging.

Through my photography, I hope to spark something in you too—a pause, a memory, or simply the quiet recognition of something beautiful. Because at its heart, photography is about connection. It’s about seeing and being seen, about sharing a moment that might otherwise pass unnoticed.

Thank you for visiting. I’d love for you to be part of this journey—whether through a print that speaks to you, a conversation sparked by an image, or simply by returning to see what the next season brings.
